A Day Late
Sorry for the delay in getting this week’s post up, but I did something this past weekend I haven’t done in a very long time: I actually took the weekend off. Oh, I did a little bit of editing but, other than that, I gave myself permission to relax, do some gaming and basically just bum around. Until I did, I hadn’t realized just how tired and stressed I’d been. But I’m back now and am recharged and ready to get a lot done. Part of that is getting this Substack up and running—and I’m still in the process of doing just that.
Anyway. . . .
Here’s what you can expect from the Substack. Once a week, more often if the urge hits, I’ll do a public post that will include updates on the writing front, publishing schedules, etc. If something happens in the news that strikes me, I’ll even post about that. There might be a short, very short, snippet from the current WIP.
For the paid subscriptions, every level of paid will get access to full-length scenes or chapters to the work-in-progress. Consider this as getting an e-arc as the book is being written. I still have to check the terms of service for the various sales platforms I use to make sure I don’t run afoul of them. But I can say that you will get at least the first five or six chapters and probably more.
I’m also going to figure out a way to give paid supporters copies of the final e-book of titles published during the course of the membership. This will not cover books published before today or before a person’s subscription went live. Annual memberships will get one autographed book published during the year as well. Founding memberships will get two autographed books published during the year as well as the e-books.
And, yes, I’ll be updating the subscription page to reflect all this before I open up for subscriptions (which should be in the next week or two).
And I guess that’s about it for this morning’s post. Just a head’s up. There will be another post this afternoon with a snippet from Surtr’s Fury, my current WIP. It will go out to all subscribers as a preview of what you can expect going forward.
Until later!
