Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition

If you live in the DFW area, this weekend you could have turned on KERA, channel 13, to relive the first time you saw Monty Python’s Flying Circus. Seeing these very politically incorrect, never to be made in this day and age, episodes reminded me of fun times when KERA was the first station in the country to import Python. I remembered getting together with a bunch of friends in high school and doing a video for a school project that was based on the Dead Parrot sketch.

And who can forget the Lumberjack Song?

Good times. Fun times.

Times that led to a rewatching of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Beware the killer bunny.

And, yes, there will also be a snippet later today, after the update. Here’s a hint: this has been one of the most fun projects I’ve worked on in a long time, but also one of the most frustrating. But it is progressing and I think I finally have a handle on it.
