Just a quick post. The snippet will be up later today—promise. But for now, there are some housekeeping matters I want to go over. Bear with me. I’m still working on getting enough coffee in my system to be fully functional. Plus, Myrtle the Evil Muse is noisy today and is becoming a distraction. Anyway, here goes.
Starting next week, I’m going to shutter my blog. (Click here for the link.) I’ll archive the posts and they’ll be able to be found at my main site which will be updated as well. This also means having to go through all my published works and changing the links in the ebooks so they point here and to the main site. It isn’t a difficult thing to do, just time consuming.
That means this will become my main blogging outlet, something I’ve been working toward for the past six or so months. But it does leave me with a question for those of you wo read my posts here and/or on the blog. I created this Substack to promote my writing and, with a very few exceptions, I’ve stuck to that decision. However, there are times when I feel the need to discuss politics or something non-writing related.
So here’s my question. Are you okay with those posts occasionally popping up here or would you prefer this to remain a writing/creative focused site and for politics to go elsewhere? (I do have another substack I haven’t put to use yet, A Patriot’s Reflections that could easily be used for those other posts.)
Until later!
I don't mind the occasional political post, but if you think it will hurt your writing base then, elsewhere.
It's your stack, do what you want. I would suggest, if you haven't already done so, putting in separate pages for general stuff, snippets, and writing advice. More or less as you see for.
